Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies Overview
Students in the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies explore topics like criminology, juvenile justice and restorative justice. In addition to academic coursework, students can intern with local agencies that open doors to law enforcement, legal work, corrections, graduate school and more. The program focuses on healing, accountability and repairing harm—equipping students to succeed as values-driven professionals.

Courses
Spalding’s 120-credit Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies program gives students a deep, well-rounded understanding of the criminal justice system—covering law enforcement, courts and corrections—while emphasizing critical thinking, ethical leadership and the pursuit of justice.
Coursework includes Juvenile Justice and Restorative Justice, Rehabilitation of the Offender and Police Problems and Practices.
Internship and Capstone
Through internship experience and a capstone project in your senior year, you’ll develop practical knowledge and research methods that can be applied directly to your career. You’ll also have the opportunity to:
- assist disadvantages communities
- be involved in public policy advocacy
- facilitate restorative justice circles and conferences
