Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy
Courses
The content for the Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy focuses on diagnostics, pharmacology and critical inquiry. Students also engage in courses such as Teaching and Learning in Physical Therapy and Special Topics in Physical Therapy. All students complete a capstone in physical therapy practice as well.
Courses often result in immediate implementation of new techniques into current clinical practice.
You can start in any semester, and most classes can be taken in any order.
Post-Professional DPT + MBA Dual Degree
Beyond our traditional Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (PPDPT) degree program, we proudly offer a dual degree program which combines our PPDPT with the Master of Business Administration (MBA). The PPDPT + MBA is designed for licensed physical therapists seeking entrepreneurial endeavors and who strive to maximize their impact either through leadership in healthcare organizations or higher education. You will graduate from the PPDPT + MBA dual degree with advanced marketability and excel in the management of complex healthcare business operations. Students have two options for pursuing this dual degree:
- Track 1: Students will take the MBA and PPDPT portions simultaneously
- Track 2: Students will complete the PPDPT curriculum, followed by the General MBA track curriculum
- Track 3: Students will complete the General MBA track curriculum, followed by the PPDPT curriculum
