Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Spalding University prepares students to lead in health care or excel in graduate study. Each student works with a dedicated nursing success coach through program completion as they navigate 59 credit hours of coursework, 772.5 clinical hours and preparation for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) exam.
- 120 credit hours for first-time undergraduate students
- 80 credit hours for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree

BSN Courses
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing coursework prepares students with the scientific knowledge and clinical experiences they need to enter professional practice. Coursework includes classes in the liberal arts, such as psychology, English and philosophy.
Nursing students are trained in anatomy and physiology, microbiology and pathophysiology as well as courses such as health assessment, maternal-newborn nursing and nursing pharmacology.
