Amanda Seaton is an Assistant Professor and Biology Lab Coordinator at Spalding University, where she currently teaches Microbiology, Genetics, Biology Seminar, and Non-Majors Biology. She holds both undergraduate and master’s degrees in biology from Western Kentucky University and is a certified Medical Technologist with over ten years of experience in healthcare, specifically working in clinical microbiology and molecular within hospital laboratory settings. Her research interests include virology, genetics, and microbiology, with a particular focus on the intersection of genetic mechanisms and microbial function. Her teaching and research are enriched by her extensive clinical background, and she remains committed to mentoring students in both the classroom and laboratory environments.
