Dr. Odalis Romero holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Liberty University. She also earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Florida International University.
Before entering the counseling profession, Dr. Romero worked as a special education teacher and program specialist in the Exceptional Student Education department. Her clinical experience includes outpatient hospitalization, community mental health, and private practice.
She currently serves as President of the Florida Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling (2025–2026) and is dedicated to mentoring future counselors through supervision and professional development. Her research interests include Latino/a mental health, trauma, disability, mentorship, and child development. Dr. Romero has presented at regional conferences and serves as a Subject Matter Expert Reviewer for the American Counseling Association.
