Reading Lab

College reading can feel overwhelming. You may be asked to read a lot of difficult material on your own and then be ready to talk or write about it. If reading assignments leave you feeling stressed, frustrated, or confused—or if you spend a lot of time reading but struggle to remember or use what you read—you are not alone. The Reading Lab is here to help you.

In the Reading Lab, a reading tutor works with you one-on-one. They can read aloud with you, ask helpful questions to build understanding, and teach you strategies to make college reading easier and more effective.

Writing Center

Meet one-on-one with a Writing Center consultant for help brainstorming, outlining, and improving your writing. Appointments last 45–60 minutes and are available in person at the Writing Center (Library, 2nd floor) or virtually via Zoom.
