Dr. Kimberly Sisto is the Director of Clinical Education and an Assistant Professor at Spalding University’s Kosair for Kids School of Physical Therapy. Dr. Sisto is responsible for the administration and coordination of all clinical practice courses for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students, in addition to teaching the pediatric content in the program. She is an experienced clinical instructor for DPT students and served as a mentor for sports physical therapy residents. Dr. Sisto is an American Physical Therapy Association Credentialed (APTA) Clinical Instructor and is an active member of the APTA. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at Logan University, with a focus on Health Professions Education.
Dr. Sisto is a dual board-certified clinical specialist in sports physical therapy and pediatric physical therapy. She holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan – Flint, and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University. With over a decade of experience in outpatient pediatric physical therapy, Dr. Sisto specializes in the treatment of pediatric pelvic health and orthopedic injuries. She collaborated to develop the Sports Physical Therapy Residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and served as residency faculty and has presented at many local and national professional conferences on the topics of clinical education, pediatric pelvic health, and rehabilitation of the gymnast.
