About Missy

Dr. Hawes earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Spalding University, her Master of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner from Spalding University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville. She is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant and maintains an active clinical practice in pediatric primary care. As an Assistant Professor and Director of the Master of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner Track, Dr. Hawes combines her leadership, clinical expertise, and commitment to mentoring students to prepare the next generation of advanced practice nurses.
