Bachelor of Science in Education Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Education program prepares students with the knowledge and experience they need for a career in the classroom and beyond. All courses are taught by certified and experienced public educators and leaders, allowing students to learn from professionals who have put theory into practice. This unique program offers teacher certification exam support, hands-on experience in local school districts and hiring support.


  • 120 credit hours
  • On-campus
  • 4 concentration options: Elementary (P–5), Middle Grades (5–9), Secondary (8–12) and Learning Behavior Disorders (P–12)
  • 100% of Spalding education students passed the Praxis I and Praxis II Examinations in 2023

Spalding’s Bachelor of Science in Education prioritizes the core domains of the education profession — planning, assessing and delivering instruction via field-based learning experiences, interactive classroom learning, faculty advising and in-field opportunities for observation and teaching.
